Fingernails' Vanity

My fingernails are feeling vain!

Too bad I'm not good with nail arts, can only paint simple solid colour ones...

BB Cream: ZA vs Ettusais

For the past few months,  I've done quite a bit of changes to my makeup collection. Give away some, threw away many and opened a few new ones. =D

Now, the only bb creams I'm left with (not counting sample tube/sachets) are from ZA and Ettusais!

So here's a simple short review of the 2 bb creams.

Left: ZA Total Hydration BB Cream UV
Right: Ettusais BB Mineral Cream (shade 10)

FRESH out of tube...

BEFORE blending...

AFTER blending...

Neither of the bb creams seems to be a perfect match on my hand, but I would say Ettusais bb cream is good match on my face.

ZA Total Hydration BB Cream UV:
Girly pink tube packaging.
SPF 43. PA +++
Only 1 shade and is darker than usual.
Has a orangey/peachy tint imo.
Has a floral/powdery smell.
Coverage is medium (buildable). A little goes a long way.
Spreads very easily.
Oil control is normal (hydrating).
Retails @ $15.90
20g

Ettusais BB Mineral Cream (shade 10):
Baby pink tube packaging.
SPF 30. PA ++.
Has 3 shades (10, 20, 30).
More yellow base in colour.
Not as the stated fragrance-free, but pleasant enough.
Coverage is light to medium.
Spreads easily.
Oil control is normal.
Retails @ $38
40g

I would actually have preferred ZA bb cream if not for the shade which I felt is a tad mismatch for my face.

However, shade is a very determining factor for me especially when it comes to face colour.

Hence, my preference goes out to Ettusais as it's yellow based and is very much closer/suitable shade for my face.

SK-II Skincare.

Yes, I've heard so much rave about SK-II skincare and have been tempted to give it a try since forever!

Sadly, I have been putting it on hold as I didn't want to start too early (their pdts seems to target > mid 20s) and it's simply too expensive.
But recently, I found some sk-ii sample products (gentle cleanser, clear lotion, mask-in lotion, facial treatment essence, deep surge ex) in some of my subscribed beauty parcels.

To cut it short, I felt my skin is really becoming better!

After the sample bottles finished, I continued purchasing samples of their clear lotion (toner) and fte as I liked this combination the best. Can't really comment on it's individual effects as I used it as a combination. However, my skin feels much more cleaner and smoother (at least lesser bumps). Best of all, it doesn't adds irritation to my super sensitive skin!
While I'm loving it, I have been hearing that one shouldn't continuously use their products for too long a period as the skin tends to be 'addicted' and skin may 'act up' once you stop using it. So to be safe, nowadays I'm trying to use them only on alternate days (hopefully this works?).

Mini Haul Overtimeeee

Dingdongggg, time for updates!!! ^-^

Time just flew past and it's already mid June, GSS!

Okay this year I've more control over my purchases.. Lesser wants, more needs!

Did I mention before I now have a love/hate rls with bbcreams? Ever since my Baviphat bb cream is finished (almost), it's been so tough finding another comparable one. :x

Was considering a number of bb cream and somehow i ended up with ZA.
Was having high hopes as I saw review that it's good. No tester on the shelf so I bought it home to test, somehow I find the shade a little too orangey/peachy for me.. :x Will do a review soon, promised!

Not satisfied. I was on the lookout for alternatives and happened to receive sample of Ettusais bb cream (shade 20). Tried and tested, feels not bad.. only thing if seems a little harsh/dark (v. slight) on my face. Thus, i went on to buy in shade 10! *praying hard it suits me*

And thanks to Vaintytrove, I managed to 2 freebies as well ;p

Been using for a few times, so far so good. But, it seems to dry very quickly and hence needs a quick hand (and mu base). Two thing I like the most about this bb cream is the yellow-based shade and it's baby pink packaging! ^-^ *Ahemm, will do review too! Promised promised!*

Moving on to sales, I went to Kanebo sales on Wednesday~

I swear I'm really conscious of my purchases this time round.

Though in short span of less than half an hour, I've a total damage of $67... (I can explain my purchases!)

Looks a lot? It's actually just 3 items (box and item side-by-side).

Freshel Whitening Essence Cream. It says to target spots and is more concentrated. Just what I need to battle my badly pigmented skin!
Have yet to start on any of them, but seriously hope it works.. And, call me noob.. it's my first seeing a tube with such opening... looks pretty interesting isn't it?

Lunasol Tu Makeup Base. Apparently according to the Kanebo SA, this Tu mu base is newer and allows mu to adhere much better to the skin. This is a need. My current RMK mu base is emptying very soon and without mu base, I feel that my mu just doesn't last as long and tends to be either a little drying or oily over certain areas... Good or bad, I guess I will know this very soon!

Lunasol Modeling Liquid Foundation in Y002. Lastly, a long-time-crave-finally-satisfied buy! ;P
