Nails!

Seriously, what's wrong with me!?

I guess I'm a shopaholic when I'm stressed up. But wait, boredom burns my pocket too! Not sure what came over me, my bank is depleting at lighting speed!

See the proof? Its a lot for me, considering I don't usually do nails..

Though not purchased on the same day, but still..!

China Glaze in Emerald Fitzgerald

I would like to think this is what stress did to me. Got it off gmarket, cheap cheap! *hearts cheap buys* I tried to apply on my nails but always end up wiping it off.. Not as easy to apply for amateur like me and seems to stain nails a little (must have base coat)... Colour wise, it's similar to what is on the screen *likes*.

OPI Black Shatter & Hopelessly in Love

Also off gmarket (different seller frm china glaze)! Was so tempted with the shatter craze and finally gave in to temptation. Not very used to the crack initially, but kinda got used slowly.. But one thing i have to say, it stinks imho... Hopelessly in Love is a very sweet light milky pink, sheer and build-able.. No pictures though (tsk, ps!).

Sally Hansen Double Duty

This is my 2nd bottle! Really makes my nail polish stays on longer and less prone to chipping.. And it's shiny! =P

Etude House purchase!

Had to knock off work earlier on Friday and bf wasn't in sg to accompany me, friends mostly still working.. To kill my boredom, this is what happened! Went cwp to kill time since I couldn't concentrate on assignments and i saw Etude House having 30% storewide sale! *blinks* Damage: $15.50 (mask is free~)

The packaging is so cute! Comes with a free pen too =P

Got myself a nail polish remover pump(not sure how u name it). Its an empty bottle, so you have to purchase separate nail polish remover to fill it.. Place a cotton pad on pump area and press down, done~ So much more useful than the normal bottle of nail polish remover, no worry about spilling too. =D

Base coat and cuticle exfoilator (??)

The base coat is easy to apply, dries fast too! Bought the cuticle exfoilator (??) as I wanted to remove the dead skin around my nails.. Apply on the cuticle area, wait for ~10sec and you can start exfoilating using the tool below (taught by their SA)..

No idea the name, but I'd say.. It does a pretty good job! I can see dead skin "shaved off". *shioks*

Oh and lastly.. I got freebies! From gmarket and Etude House respectively~

Eye Mask (L) and Face Mask (R)

*stares back at bank balance*
Heart pain! This is just the nails portion, I still have the online blogshop purchases!!! Stress, spend. Got time, also spend. OMG! *bites nails*

Gold Magic White Lifting Mask + 5cm Neck Care

My confession:
I finally realised the importance of masking! The consequences of improper skincare routine when I was young is now taking its toll on my skin. Sensitive skn.. scars.. acne.. pimple.. pigments.. Yes, it's THAT problematic! Hence, I've been trying to find ways to redeem my "sins" these few years and its really tough and costly.. *sobs*

These few years, I've been getting into the trend on masking. And so, I'm really excited when I was given the chance to do the review the Gold Magic White Lifting Mask + 5cm Neck! *Special thanks to Lush Group*

Okay, let me now jump straight into masking.
*Warning: Please be prepared to see my scary face*

Firstly, see my naked face!
I guess I'm really fortunate when I was trying out the mask. It happens to be a day where my skin feels extra obedient though you can still see the pigments and scars.

Here's the process how I do the masking!

Step 1: Stretch the mask side-way and pull the hooks behind the ears. See the additional portion for the neck care area?

Step 2: Spread the mask evenly. In a upward direction, pull the other two hooks up and behind the ears too.

Step 3: Adjust the mask according. See the neck care portion?

Step 4: Tada~ Massage to absorb the essence and you are done (~20mins) !

+ve :
The 3d mask is really useful as it allows me to multi-task while masking.
Hydrates my skin and makes my skin less dull.
Easily absorbed.
No strong fragrant.
Doesn't irritates my skin!

-ve :
Feels a little tight on my neck/chin when I pull the hooks up and behind my ears(guess its supposed to?)

Overall I feel the mask is pretty good and its really convenient with the hooks behind the ears, save me lots of time. Not much negative point except that the fitting of the mask is not as good as I had expected (a little tight on some and loose on others).

Recommend it to others, YES !

Brazilian Virgin Wax @ STRIP SG 24/05/2011

I've finally tried Brazilian Wax for the first time!

Was hesitating whether to try as I have a really low tolerance for pain... Thanks to Tiphanie who introduced me to Strip SG, we somehow "lured" each other into giving it a try! :P

The lady, Michelle, who handled my case was really accommodating. Felt so bad whenever I saw her missed call as I was usually in the midst of a lesson and even when I had to postpone my appointment due to work, her attitude was absolutely good!

Yummies!

Lots of products on display...

I went to the Strip Buddy @ Wheelock. The interior was comfy with seats for customers to rest while waiting, their staffs were friendly and approachable. And, they do waxing for both ladies and gentlemen! :p

Knowing that it's my virgin experience, the staff gave me a consultation and prep talk on Strip's Brazilian Waxing. Strip practises HSQ (Hygiene, Speed and Quality).

Every customer is provided with a Hygiene Pack to ensure 100% hygiene, no reuse of any items (not even the spatula/sticks)! Speed is definitely, the faster it is, the lesser you feel the pain! The Waxpert ensures the whole process is fast, clean and accurate. Needless to say, they ensure the quality of the Super Wax at all times.

Seeing how nervous I was, the lady gave me a few drops of Bach Flower Essence and a squeezy toy ($10) to calm me down!
Can you spot the missing toy on the 1st row?

See the small "window" on the wall?

If you are there with your friend, you may even opt to have the "window" open to "accompany" each other during your waxing session. Of course, you get to see only your friend's face and nothing else! *giggles*

I was feeling so embarrassed initially having to "expose" my lower body to the Waxpert. But she's really professional and quick at easing it away!

See the kawaii squeezy zebra ($10) and hygiene wipes...

Was scheduled for Strawberry Brazilian Wax, but the Waxpert suggested to do a Chocolate BW due to the hair quality. According to her, if I had went ahead with the Strawberry BW, it might feel a little more painful as compared.. I'm so glad I followed her advise! *phew*

The whole process was very quick and I was out of Strip Buddy in 30minutes!

The waxing process is very simple and fast. Here's the steps (after cleaning the area to be waxed)...
- Dips new spatula into Super Wax
- Spreads quickly over the area
- Press palm down while the wax dries
- Peel off wax in swift motion
- Press palm down to soothe the area

Throughout the process, my Waxpert was wearing gloves to ensure hygiene and kept me occupied by talking to me. She repeated the steps until hairs were removed before moving on to another part (from from to back). My first peel was very bearable. According to her, removal of hair from the labia are usually the most painful spot and the butt crack is the least painful. I totally agree! Luckily, the pain was quickly soothed away after she pressed her palm on the "freshly waxed" spot (at least I didn't scream)... ;p

When everything was waxed, she applied the Peace ampoule to further soothe & reduce speed of hair growth and I'm done (I have sensitive skin, and this is really useful!). =D

Received 2 information cards/brochures that advises me on the "Dos" and "Don'ts" as well as information on STRIP SG...

Kindly sponsored by Strip SG, I was also given a package which consists of many yummies and most importantly, the Strawberry Brazilian Virgin Kit ($25).

Strawberry Virgin Brazilian Kit ($25)

The kit consists of 4 different cream/scrub/lotion and the lady was explaining to me each of their uses. Don't worry even if you have short-term memory like me, instructions are printed on the box as well!

My overall experience at Strip Buddy was really great. Even after a week, it still feels pretty clean and I guess you probably feel it the most when bathing or your VIP comes visiting!

I'm thinking I might be a convert! *sheepish smile*

Promo till 30th June 2011...

For STRIP Brazilian virgins, Strawberry Brazilian Virgin kit can be enjoyed at $15.

Strawberry Wax Virgin Brazilian and a Strawberry Brazilian Virgin kit is just $56 (u.p. $83).

*All prices are b4 GST

Review: EOS Honeysuckle Honeydew Sphere Lipbalm

It's Review Time! *ps, m too tired @ work, i need rest!*

EOS Honeysuckle Honeydew Sphere Lipbalm

*disclaimer, picture above is taken frm the EOS webby.
Haven really been using it consistently as I've really too many still in use. Hence, pls note that my review is based on the few tries that I had. =p

Firstly, I love the smell! Ok let me come straight to the point..

Pros:
Sweet honeydew smell
Taste a little like honeydew as well
Gives a really matte finish (If you want no shine at all)
Lasting and moisturising (when lips are not chappy)

Cons:
A little bulky to carry because of its sphere shape
Not moisturising enough (when lips are chappy)
Too matte (a little shine would be good)

That's about all.. Will update again if I have more inputs! =D
