Time just flew past and it's already mid June, GSS!

Okay this year I've more control over my purchases.. Lesser wants, more needs!

Did I mention before I now have a love/hate rls with bbcreams? Ever since my Baviphat bb cream is finished (almost), it's been so tough finding another comparable one. :x

Was considering a number of bb cream and somehow i ended up with ZA.

Was having high hopes as I saw review that it's good. No tester on the shelf so I bought it home to test, somehow I find the shade a little too orangey/peachy for me.. :x Will do a review soon, promised! 

Not satisfied. I was on the lookout for alternatives and happened to receive sample of Ettusais bb cream (shade 20). Tried and tested, feels not bad.. only thing if seems a little harsh/dark (v. slight) on my face. Thus, i went on to buy in shade 10! *praying hard it suits me*

And thanks to Vaintytrove, I managed to 2 freebies as well ;p

Been using for a few times, so far so good. But, it seems to dry very quickly and hence needs a quick hand (and mu base). Two thing I like the most about this bb cream is the yellow-based shade and it's baby pink packaging! ^-^ *Ahemm, will do review too! Promised promised!*

Moving on to sales, I went to Kanebo sales on Wednesday~

I swear I'm really conscious of my purchases this time round. 

Though in short span of less than half an hour, I've a total damage of $67... (I can explain my purchases!)

Freshel Whitening Essence Cream. It says to target spots and is more concentrated. Just what I need to battle my badly pigmented skin!

Have yet to start on any of them, but seriously hope it works.. And, call me noob.. it's my first seeing a tube with such opening... looks pretty interesting isn't it?

Lunasol Tu Makeup Base. Apparently according to the Kanebo SA, this Tu mu base is newer and allows mu to adhere much better to the skin. This is a need. My current RMK mu base is emptying very soon and without mu base, I feel that my mu just doesn't last as long and tends to be either a little drying or oily over certain areas... Good or bad, I guess I will know this very soon!

OKAY finally I've managed to upload my recent loots and now I'm back to blog!!

BEWARE: It's a MAD long post, loaded with mountains of pictures! <3

So I've been buying quite a bit recently, but I'm trying to control! wahahah.. 

Now let me start with blushers. Thanks to my KAL Xiao Han aka Ah Hiao, I got 2 blushers @ $20 from a website!

They are so lovely! But sadly, i doubt they can be used as a blusher.. More for highlighter(though I suck at it) i guess.. Nevertheless, just looking at it makes me feel so sweet. :)

Then I got my first counter brand fdn, Lunasol! Went for a makeover by Lunasol MA at Orchard Takshimaya and the MA reccommended me OC-01. Just when I wanted to get OC-01 LF, the staff says they are OOS! Damn sad, so i wanted to opt for cream fdn, OOS too! *itchy heart* No choice I had to end up with their 2way fdn.

Seems alot right? But actually is just a 2-way fdn for myself and a e/s for Lyn.. 

And there's the M'sia trip with  2 of my KAL khakis, Ah hiao and Samantha aka Dua Tao to go in shop shop shop~

We went in Sunday early noon and out at ard 6pm, heng traffic was smooth like running tap water! wahahah

This is what happens when dua tao and ah hiao sees nail polish.. Shiny ttm! wahaha

That's my loots of the day. 1 set of Mavala and Etude hse fdn brush for Lyn aka Moleyher(wah ur nick best!) And Dua Tao gave me the mascara free! Wee so happy~

Continuing my recent loots, I must not forget SilkNaturals!! Simply love love them, afforadably cheap and good.

Heard many cotters say the water base cleanser is a really effective and good MU remover. Hence itchy me rushed down to Watson, wanted miniature but only saw the dry skin ones, so ended up with a full sized wahaha..

Another Watson trip, feeling damn depressed and went to buy the slimming leg lotion.

Perfume loots from Chinatown.. Their perfumes are really cheap, so I went on to help my friends CP and I got myself a Paul Smith Rose & miniature Versace Bright Crystal.

Why I have 2 gwp? It's a complicated story. All I can say is a mishandle-ing and can issue solved with a token of sincerity. =D

 

My purchase yesterday. Desperately need a good exfoliation to see dead skins as my clinique step2 don't seem to make my skin feel "fresh".. Oh and the Missha BB cream is bought over from Yiling, $14 only! Thankew~

Silk Naturals Loot!

Long overdue! But better late than never..

Ok here's my SilkNaturals loot that I got just after CNY!

1 Ivory fdn sample in original, 1 Ivory fdn sample in medium, and more lippies + free e/s~

These are all sample blushers I got and 2 free e/s~~ *Smilex*

Moss is a e/s that comes free with purchase over $30! And since I've not much green e/s b4, I requested for 1! TGIF is a sampe e/s that comes free with every $10 purchase. So sweet of them right?? *Blinks*

Did I mention before I love SN blushers? Though I seldom put blushers, but just can't resist the temptation!

Samples I got frm SN as of now (am sure it will still grow Lolx)

Their blushers are so pretty! But i wish they had more matt blushers, shimmer/shiny ones doesn't really suit my face.. But, heck! Just buy~ I simply love how pretty the colours shows up when applied! But I seldom use as my face is pretty sensitive and red w/o blusher, and so if i do apply it'll be a super light handed kind wahaha..

IIRC, from L to R.. Precious(l/g), Maiden(l/g), Mirage(l/s), Foreplay(l/g)

No pic of it on my lips though.. PS. But i really adore how Precious and Foreplay shows up, especially Precious! Precious is a very light semi-sheer colour that lits me up whereas Foreplay gives me a kissable yummy lip colour. For Mirage, it'll be great to go with smokey eyes but not if I want to use it as a base for colour. Maiden is something I gotten previously, used to like it though it runs a little darker than I like. But now, definitely Precious or Foreplay over Maiden.

Last but not least, I even received a lippie sample. Didn't know they still have it as I thought they stopped having them..

It's pretty. But, doubt I will ever use it. Colour is too loud to my liking! =X

Ohh n btw, talking about Silknaturals, I went to mix my foundation just recently again! 

 

On the L, my new mix, R, my old mix.

Though this time is better, But I still think it's a little darker than my neck area.. 

Hmm, shall try another round real soon! Wahahah~

Revlon ColorStay Foundation Review..

Okay time to review.. Hahah but pls note that my review is based after using it for ONLY 2 DAYS. =P

So, after 2 days, my review of this fdn is ALL Positive, at least majority of it is.. =D

Shade, Nude. Thought it would be too pinky or dark for me since it is pink-based. But I would say the shade is a pretty good match for me, but not the exact though.. Noticed this morning before applying loose powder that it's a little dark for me.. Probably a little lighter would be more accurate.. Luckily, my LP managed to help me lighten it a little, making it not too bad.. =) 

Oil control is actually real good! When I reached home yesterday, I took a look at myself in the mirror. No shine-ing face, it's almost a full day from 9a.m to 7p.m! Though I'm using other pdts to help control oil as well.. But usually I still end up with some shine on my nose.. 

Coverage-wise, it's awesome as well! Hee.. Usually I will use bb cream as base/concealer before putting on fdn, with this, I can spread a layer and then layer on a little and it is enough to cover my redness and dark spots! Of course under-eye circles not included lar.. Hahahaha.. 

So here's my conclusion/review of the Revlon ColorStay Fdn.

+ Good match after applying LP( Not the best though)

+ Coverage is Medium to Full (layer on and it's Full coverage)

+ Oil control is superb

+ No cakey

+ No touchup needed (I'm a lazy person)

+ Oxidisation is very little

- Bottle design is not user-friendly

- Dries a little faster than normal foundation (Have to spread fast & well)

- Fdn feels a little thick

- Price a little ex (I mean the usual price)

- Limited shades available in Singapore. 

Hmm, that's about all for now. Guess I shall really give Buff/Ivory a try.. *LEMMINGS*

Revlon ColorStay Foundation in Nude!

I finally got my hands on it!

Lolx.. Have been contemplating whether to get it from online drugstore spree for this fdn in buff.. But is always eye-power only.. So yest, finally i went to JL and bought it at 20% + 10% disc off regular price.. think less than $20? Quite a good deal i would say, minus all the shipping and waiting.. 

Was about to get sand beige, then instead I went to ask whether Nude or Sand Beige is lighter.. SA recommended me Nude, so I took the risk and got Nude! 

Applied this morning, so far so good! I would say the coverage is considered medium to almost full coverage, and the shade match me surprisingly al right(according to my colleague). Seems better than my clinique SuperFit because it's easier to spread.. SF feels drier..

Shall wait till tonight and review more tmr.. Hopefully is a positive 1!

Silk Naturals - Perfect Harmony Sample Kit

OKay! After days, weeks and months of dragging I finally got around to do a post up on how i use their Perfect Harmony Kit.

Includes:

1 Teaspoon of Ivory

1/2 Teaspoon Of Different Base, Warm Gold, Buttery Gold, Olive and Ebony

10g Jar for mixing

1 Measuring Scoop

1 Flocked Sponge

Sample sachet of finishing powder and a eye colour

Instruction Sheet(Lost somewhere.. Lolx)

I choose Buttery Gold & Ivory.. *Tips: see their website for more description on each different base*

Scoop 1 spoonful of Buttery Gold into the mixing jar..

Then time to add in Ivory..

Depending on your skin tone.. You might want to add 3 or 4 spoonful to mix first to try out, and increase the number of spoonful as you deem fit.. *Tips: Search their forums, lots of advise for different skin tones*

Then start mixing..

You'll see something like that.. *PS, i added about 8 spoonful of Ivory lolx*

End pdt.. *Not the best match as it seems duller than my previous 1.. shall twit the base a little.. hahah..

Anyway I did a comparison between my previous recipe and I think the previous 1 is a closer match..

*Tips: Always remember the number of spoonful and base used!*

So that's how I did my mix for Silk Naturals Foundation~

Pros:

Fun to mix around

Get perfect match(eventually)

Does not cakes up on my face

Medium Coverage

Cheap & Affordable

Cons:

Might not get the perfect match at first try

Not fully matt

Guess I need to order more to play around with different recipes!! Hahah..

Yea, just as how the title shows... I have new items to share!!!

I bought FANCL pdts again.. like finally.. after a year or two later, simply cause it's a tad too expensive for me to own them as they are all preservative-free, hence the lifespan of the pdt are relatively short..

Like for example, their Mild Cleansing Oil(MCO) is able to last 1 yr from expiry when un-opened, and 120days after opening. Usually I'll just continue to use.. But $33 is really ex for me.. So i switched to Biore Cleansing Oil($15.90) instead..

BUT, this time round I managed to get the items on a promotional price! My dance friend is working for the company so there's staff disc and etc.. Total damage for 3 bottles of washing powder and 2 small bottle of mco is only $39!! YEAShhh ^-^

The limited edition bottle is just so pretty!!!

Okay and now's the purchase I done last year?? There's the Missha Silky Soft Foundation in shade 13, bought it on impulse thinking it should be good like their highly raved bb cream.. Kinda regretted so much man.. Used only once but I think it doesn't like oily combi skin.. Should I sell it? Anyone keen on buying from me?? Lolx.. I think so.. can't remember the exact date.. But anyway, I've been wanting to buy TFS Professional Green Makeup Base($16+) so much that I went around different outlets to ask for them.. Finally I bought it! But ironically, till now I haven't even swatched the pdt on my hand before.. *faints*

Okay after all the regrets, Now I have the samples to test before making my impulse purchase again.. Avene samples.. 2 of which I got it during a sale I think.. It's free of course.. But haven't used it.. The last one is Clearance emulsion like a moisturiser that I just got yesterday, thanks to my friend, Yus! *thankew*

Last but not least.. I got this small bottle of eye drops recently for contact lens wearer.. My left eye seems to be giving me problem nowadays.. Hopefully this helps soothes my eyes...

Update b4 my new purchase in 2010!!

It's 2010!!! 

B4 I start to buy any more cosmetics and skincare pdts... I shall update what I had gotten since my last update here!! Do bear with me bcos it's gonna be a super long entry!

I got my Silk Naturals Mini Hauls!!! Haha.. it's really a mini haul compared to others.. Bought some lippies and foundation sample kits to try out =)

Pdts shown above: Maiden (l/g), XXX (l/s), Bloom (l/g), Tailfeather (e/s free), Flair (blush), Charming (blush), Babydoll (blush), Perfect Harmony Sample Kit (foundation)

Bought for 25+ Usd.. quite worth it I guess.. Other than the Tailfeather e/s which I got it free, they've kindly included another e/s and l/p sample in my foundation kit!!!

Went to do a comparison on the 3 lippies.. here's the swatch!

Bloom is a really pretty colour.. Thought it might be those very bright pink gloss but turns out it actually brightens my lips a little and give it a really nice slightly sheer glossy look to it..

As for maiden, I can't really comment much though.. It's a real nude lip colour for me.. Almost exactly the shade of my lips.. guess it's good for everyday work though.. =)

XXX is a great l/s in my opinion.. Only that I have to be careful not to over apply it as it feels a little drying and will have a little wash out look.. But with brush application, it's awesome!

At times when I want a natural light nude pinkish lips I will use xxx as base and a little bloom on top, and I'll have the innocent nude-ish pink lips!! Yipee~~

Went to play around the Perfect Harmony Kit and did a little comparison with my other fdn pdts... Got my formula of Buttery Gold: Warm Gold: Ivory in 1:0.5:13 . But I think it's not a perfect one yet.. probably shall try the next time using just pure Buttery Gold and Ivory.. hee..

Opps I forgot to mention.. Clinique Superfit in 61, Missha Lightest (cant remember name), Silknaturals mix and EDM in Fawn.

Here's my Clinique Superfit in 61, my SO bought it for me at Bishan J8 BHG for $50! *thanks* The SA there is very kind and when I asked her to help me try put it on my full face before purchase, she gladly did it for me! So nice of her...

Last but not least I bought my first full size moisturiser!! In the past I've been using samples and miniatures, never a full size before.. incredible? Heh...

L'Oreal Derma Genesis Gel moisturiser..

Tried the sample before buying it.. It's on 20% disc @ Metro Causeway point when I bought it, usual priced @ $29.90.. On sale till 3rd Jan?? Helps minimise pores and keeps my skin relatively well moisturised. Quick absorption and no sticky feeling after application.. I use it day, and more importantly at night as I feel it really keeps my face hydrated through the night I use 1 pump for my face and another pump for my neck(start protection early!)..

So that's ALL FOR THE TIME BEING!! YEAHhhh~~~
